Ash Montalto is a holistic esthetician, multidisciplinary artist, DualiTEA podcast producer/host, and community advocate based in Staten Island, New York—Unceded Lenape Land. Grounded in the wisdom of my mixed heritage, I draw inspiration from my parents' cultural influences. My father, Leonard Montalto, dedicated much of his life to advocating for others as an Italian-American union representative and vice president in the APWU. My mother, Luz Angela, is a bilingual nurse and advocate for mothers in the OB-GYN field, who immigrated from Bogotá, Colombia, bringing with her the rich traditions and resilience of our Colombian roots. I also honor the teachings of my late elder and uncle, Joe Soto, who guided me in reconnecting with my Indigenous heritage.

I founded Ashes & Herbs Heal Mobile, a mobile spa van that blends holistic skincare, wellness, and the healing arts. My mission is to create safe spaces where people feel heard, seen, and supported. For over seven years, I've been actively working within the community to foster connection and make healing more accessible, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to experience wellness and self-care, regardless of their background or circumstances.

I believe that personal and communal healing go hand in hand. Whether through a ComuniTEA Moon meeting, a relaxing facial, or an open conversation, I’m committed to building spaces where people can connect, heal, and grow together. Being part of my community is at the heart of everything I do, and I’m proud to help others on their journeys, just as I continue to grow on mine.
